bug magnets
I used a variety of DecoArt paints that were supplied to me. You will also need bottle caps, googly eyes, magnets, and kid friendly glue.
Let the kids start by painting a few coats of paint onto the bottle caps. You want them to look like the image below. The line does not have to be perfect so allow yours kids to have fun with it. Now have your kids use the opposite end of the paint brush to make dots. Just dip your brush end in paint and add dots on your bugs. The more dots you try to make with just one dip the smaller in size they get. Again let them have fun with the dots and the placement. Once your paint is dry, add two googly eyes and a couple of magnets. I had to add two magnets each because of the depth of the bottle cap. Be sure to experiment with your magnets and test them on the fridge before gluing everything in place. Allow to dry then display your work on any fridge! The kids will love looking at these bug magnets every day and you will love entertaining them for a few hours. Grab your supplies and make these bug magnet kids crafts today. |
